Hortencia Tellez

Hortencia Oyervides Tellez, 91, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, in Baytown.

Hortencia was born February 12, 1930 in Montemorelos, Mexico, to parents; Ernesto Tellez and Candelaria Oyervides, and has been a resident of the Baytown area for over 46 years. 

Mrs. Tellez was preceded in death by her parents, husband:  Filiberto Tellez, and daughter:  Dilia Urvina.  She is survived by her sons:  Victor Tellez with four grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, Jose G. Tellez and wife Maria with three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Federico Tellez and wife Melinda with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and Jorge Tellez and wife Susie with five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, daughters:  Blanca Vasquez with six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 24 great great-grandchildren, Florinda Velasquez with seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren, Mariselda Rodriguez with three grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, Nerismelda Cepeda and husband Jaime with three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Leticia Alegria and husband Corando with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Graciela Martinez and husband Carlos with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and Elvia Medrano and husband Octavio with four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, son-in-law:  Manuel Urvina with three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild, numerous other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10: a.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.  Serving as pallbearers are Federico Tellez, Jorge Tellez, Alfredo Velasquez, Sergio Vasquez, Benjamin Cepeda, Francisco Rodriguez, Jose Tellez, and Luis Gomez.
