G. D. "Dave" Goundrey

G. D. “Dave” Goundrey, 82, of Mt. Belvieu, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021, in Webster.

Dave was born September 17, 1939, in Binghamton, New York, to parents; John and Mary Clark Goundrey, a former resident of Ohio, and has resided in Baytown for the past 20 years.  He was a graduate of Perry High School, attended Mount Union College in Ohio, was a veteran of the US Army, and member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Belvieu.  Dave also enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycles, camping, and carpentry.

Mr. Goundrey was preceded in death by his parents and brother;  John Paul Goundrey.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years:  Ruth Hayer Goundrey, son:  Kevin Goundrey and wife Colleen, grandsons:  Joshua Ryan Goundrey and Sean Jason Goundrey, numerous other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Fisher Chapel / First United Methodist Church of Mt. Belvieu, with services concluding thereafter.
