George Rivera Villarreal, 78, of Baytown, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at his residence.
George was born June 25, 1940 in San Antonio, to parents; Federico and Catarina Rivera Villarreal, and has resided in Baytown for the past 45 years. He enjoyed going to his grand children's sporting events as well as watching many rag ball tournaments and going hunting with his brother Gilbert and nephews. George loved his wrestling especially watching it with his grandsons. He was "Grandpa" to everyone and always greeted you with a big smile on his face. His past times were drinking coffee listening to country music and spending time with his dogs. Family was big to him and whether you were blood or not you were family. George was a very strong amazing man and he was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Villarreal was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Juan Villarreal, Lydia Villanueva, and Gilbert Villarreal. He is survived by his children: Mary Alice Cuellar, George Edwin Villarreal and wife Julie Ann, and Julie Marie Villarreal, stepdaughter: Vivian Cardona, brothers: Fred “Oscar” Villarreal and wife Maria and Alfredo Villarreal, sister: Angelina Guevara and husband Richard, grandchildren: Cindra Rae Cuellar, Harleigh Storm Mason, Adam Eric Mason, Brylan Tate Williams, Cross Pierce Williams, Madisen Brooke Williams, Blayne Oran Williams, Sarah Villarreal, Abigail Villarreal, Neveah Cardona, and Gianna Wilson, great-granddaughter: Everly Rayne Mason, former wives: Grace Villarreal and Maribel Villarreal, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown with interment following at Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands.
