George David Martinez

George David Martinez, 63, of Austin, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Round Rock.

George was born August 13, 1954 in Houston, to parents; Arthur and Carmen Salinas Martinez, was a former resident of Baytown, and has resided in Austin for the past 40 years.  He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School class of 1972, attended University of Texas, San Antonio, and received his doctorate from the University of Texas, Austin.  George was a doctor by trade with his own practice in Austin and member of many healthcare associations.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his father:  Arthur Martinez, Sr.  He is survived by his daughters:  Condesa Sol-Astrid and Rigel Celeste, mother:  Carmen Salinas Martinez, brother:  Arthur Martinez, Jr., numerous other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, at the Out Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.  Arrangements are under the direction of Crespo & Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services of Baytown.
