Frank Lewis Jones
Born July 31,1940 in Monterey Park, California to Frank N. and Mary Lucille Jones.
Ascended to Heaven on June 16, 2020.
As an infant the family relocated to Texas to be closer to family. Frank grew up in Garland, Texas and after graduation from high school he attended East Texas State in Commerce, Texas.
Frank joined the US Army and after training was shipped overseas. Upon return from his overseas duty he was assigned to the US Army Honor Guard in Ft. Meyer, Virginia, better known as the Old Guard. He was assigned to the Caissons, working 6 days a week in the cemetery on horseback in Arlington National Cemetery. While stationed at Ft. Meyer he met a young lady, Dorothy and fell in love. They married and moved to Garland after his duty to the US Army was completed where they started their family. Richard and Phyllis were the first boy & girl twins born in Garland, Texas. While working for Hormel Foods the family was transferred to Houston, Texas where their son Stewart was born at Spring Branch Memorial Hospital.
Frank worked for Hormel Foods for 3 and a half decades before he retired. For 10 (ten) years after he retired, he and Dorothy traveled extensively. They traveled from the East Coast to the West Coast and from the Arctic Circle in Alaska to Mexico in their motorhome. Once they decided to settle down after traveling, they moved to Anahuac, Texas to be closer to family.
Family: Three loving children, Richard & his wife Karen, Phyllis & her husband Dean, and Stewart & his wife Paige. He has 6 (six) wonderful grandchildren, James, Kevin, Samantha, Charles, Shaiel, and Eden.
