Francisco “Frankie” Porras, 62, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2021, in Baytown.
Frankie was born October 11, 1958 in Mathis, to parents; Pedro and Camilia Gonzalez Porras, a former resident of Orange Grove, and has resided in Baytown for the past 40 years. He was a mechanic by trade, had also worked as a welder, and a plant safety inspector. Frankie also enjoyed classic cars, playing pool, barbecues, music, and especially spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Porras was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Pete Porras, Felix Porras and Othon Porras, and sisters: Dolores Garza, Aurora DeLeon, and Mary "ChaCha" Vargas. He is survived by his wife: Eva Walker Porras, daughters: Selena Porras, Evalena Porras, and Jo Ana Head, brothers: Juan Porras and Hector Porras, sisters: Eva Porras Wagner, Diana Fisher, and Irma Cruz, grandchildren: Mia Diaz, Joseph Garza, Leilah Garza, Elizabeth Diaz, Alfredo Garza, IV, Ferenc Gutierrez, and Chase Jaramillo, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 6 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral rites will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.
