Francis Auguste

Francis Auguste, 47, was called home to His Heavenly Father in the evening hours of 2 July 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Francis, the first son, is survived by his eternal love, wife Amanda, and his heart walking on earth, his children, Jaeden, Ashlyn, and Madison. He is also survived by his mother and father Aura and Hugh Auguste, his brothers, and sisters Francine Auguste and wife Winnieke, Faustina Auguste, Delta Auguste, Hugh Auguste, Aura Garcia and husband Paul, Toccara Greene and husband Beau, Stephen Auguste and wife Olga as well as nephews Tyler, Nick, Demetrii, Jose, Andrew, Luis, Ahquanie, Harlin, Ulises, Adrian, Arelius and nieces Jenisha, Aubrianna, Jenquia, Leylah and Maiah. He is also survived by a large extended family.

After graduating from University of Houston Clear Lake, he began his resolute 22-year teaching career with his final teaching home being head of the Science Department at James H. Baker Six Grade Campus in LaPorte. Francis brought calmness to the classroom and worked diligently at supplying his students key tools for their future and helped lay a foundation for their path to excellence. This dedication to the school and his students was recently recognized as he was awarded Teacher of the Year 2021-2022. A sports fanatic and new lover of woodworking Francis spent free time cheering on his favorite teams and building furniture for his home.

His passion for life and deep faith was seen in every part of his being. Francis’ love for his family was boundless. His love for his wife and children was in every breath, every thought, and every beat of his heart. A true man of God, his soft-spoken words and gentle soul will continue to live and shine through them. While we are shocked and hopelessly heartbroken by his sudden passing, we are thankful for his life and legacy.

Services for Francis well be held at Second Baptist Church in Baytown. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, 13 July 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, 14 July 2022, with services concluding thereafter.
