Faustino “Tino” Alvarez, 59, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at his residence.

Tino was born February 15, 1959 in Monterrey, Mexico, to parents; Antonio Alvarez and Maria De Jesus Leyva, and a resident of Baytown for the past 18 years.  He was a mechanic for GCCISD and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  He also enjoyed music and playing the bass.

Mr. Alvarez was preceded in death by his parents Antonio Alvarez and Maria De Jesus Leyva. He is survived by: his wife, Diana Quiroga Alvarez; his children, Veronica Cuéllar, Sergio Alvarez, and Antonio Alvarez; his brothers Manuel Alvarez and Margarito Alvarez; his sisters Leonila Loredo, Modesta Alvarez, Maria Alvarez, Elisa Loredo, and Jovita Resendiz; and grandchildren Jorge Alfredo Cuéllar, Alonso, Alondra, Sergio, Adrian, Ricardo, Rosellie Alvarez. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 7 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 03, 2018, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Baytown.
