Evelyn Grace Zalamea

Evelyn “Grace” Reyes Zalamea, 91, of Houston, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019, in Baytown.

Grace was born on May 26, 1927 in the Philippines, to her parents, Francisco and Consuelo Toledo Reyes.  She was a homemaker and attended St. Dominic, St. Andrew, and St. John’s Catholic Churches.  She also enjoyed shopping for everything, playing Mahjong, skilled in piano, and spending time with her family. 

Grace is preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 50 years, Simeon Zalamea; son-in-law, Alfredo Santillan Jr..  She is survived by her children Alma Lava and husband, Antonio, Fe Santillan, Nila Entienza and husband Alexander, Leila Espinosa and husband Rogelio, Elaine Zalamea, Rene Zalamea and wife Evelyn, Alex Zalamea, Arnel Zalamea and wife Mary, Erna Aragon and husband Graceldo, Lorna Bolo and husband Nicomedes, Julie Dizon and husband Jordan, and Vina Zalamea; grandchildren, Lolita Lava, Luisa Carreon, Albert Lava, Alvin Lava, Archie Lava, Alquin Santillan, Leah Santillan, Kimberly Klaus, Keleigh Dao, Joel Espinosa, Bryan Espinosa, Kristine Andrea Navarro, Cris Angelo Espinosa, Karen Gaile Joy Espinosa, Anna Michelle Samson, Annabelle Zaldarriaga, Anna Patricia Aquino, Ranier Zalamea, Dr. Jonathan Casey D. Zalamea, Shelley Zalamea, Algino Zalamea, Chinchin Zalamea, Anna Marie Navarro, Dave Andrew Zalamea, Marvin Zalamea, Arnel John Zalamea Jr., Kenneth Aragon, Kevin Aragon, Nathan Bolo, Oydis Olivar, Newt Dizon, Justin Dizon, Jeffrey Dizon, Karla Ivan, and Cloyd Trinidad;  many great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

The visitation will be on Sunday March 24, 2019 from 12pm-8pm in the chapel of Crespo and Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. A funeral Rite will be performed at 3pm. Presiding over the services will be Father Roger O. Estorque with St. Dominic Catholic Church.
