Eva Isela Castillo

BELIEVE 

Eva Isela Castillo, of Mont Belvieu, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. 

Isela was born on April 26, 1978 in Los Reyes, Michoacan to Manuel Castillo and Eva Chavez.  She attended the parish of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Mont Belvieu and was employed by the City of Nassau Bay as the Human Resources Director.  Isela appreciated the simpler things in life, like the sound of rain, walks on the beach, spending time with family, and watching her son play football while cheering like a maniac.  She took pleasure in traveling with her husband and children, enjoying every new place they discovered.  She also enjoyed cycling for charitable causes, scuba diving, and had an avid love for the outdoors.  Isela was fond of gardening, even if she wasn't the best at keeping the plants alive, she was determined and never gave up.  One of her favorite pastimes was cooking and baking, and she was especially known for her delicious cheescake-cupcakes and lemon tarts.  Many memories, along with many messes, were made in her kitchen with her daughter and nieces.  Isela and her dazzling personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Isela is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Alejandro Castillo.  She is survived by her husband, Luis Jesus Ceja; daughter, Nayeli Ceja; son, Luis Fabian Ceja; parents, Manuel Castillo and Eva Chavez; siblings, Jose Manuel Castillo, Dania Cristina Castillo-Paz; along with various nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. 

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Rites of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
