Ethel Bashrum Fannett, 93, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Baytown with her loving granddaughter by her side.
Ethel was born July 31, 1925, in Dayton, to parents; Joseph Andrew and Effie Melissa Jones Bashrum. She was a homemaker and member of the Baytown Revival Center. She will be remembered as a strong woman of God, always praying for others, dedicated to her family, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Ethel also enjoyed reading her bible, making fried chicken, and baking banana nut cakes for her granddaughter’s birthday.
Mrs. Fannett was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Usan Fannett, son: Joe Grebey, daughter: Peggy Whiteaker, and brothers: Andrew Bashrum, Ray Bashrum, Elmer Bashrum, and Kramer Bashrum. She is survived by her granddaughter: Melissa Whiteaker, sisters-in-law: Catherine Bashrum, Betty Bashrum, and Doris Bashrum, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2019, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown with interment following at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
