Enrique C. Paiz

Enrique C. Paiz ,70, of Old River, Liberty County, Texas was taken into God’s hands on October 10, 2021, at Memorial Herman Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

A rosary and memorial service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis, Texas. Beginning at 9:30 am. Internment following At Eternal Rest Cemetery in Mathis.

Enrique was born June 28,1949 in Mathis, where he attended school. He was a professional truck driver and drove all over the country. He enjoyed barbecuing, spending time with friends and family and carpentry. He loved animals especially his pet dog, Shelby.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Araceli Cantu Paiz. His parents Evaristo Jr. and Ernestina Courvier Paiz; siblings Magdalena, Celina, Hector and Evaristo III. He will be lovingly remembered by brothers, Fernando(Martina)Paiz of Baytown, Texas.  Elias(Maria)Paiz of Mathis, Texas. Ernesto Paiz of Sandia, Texas. Eugenio(Guadalupe)Paiz of Mathis, Texas. Emilio(Margie)Paiz of Mathis, Texas. And Juan Paiz of Mathis. And numerous nieces and nephews as well.

Special thanks to Griffith Truck and Equipment; Bruce Griffith, Jeff Griffith and their families for the many years of friendship and kindness. Enrique’s kind, generous and grateful soul will be missed by many who loved him.
