Elizabeth Ruth Wells

Elizabeth Ruth Welch Wells, 77, of Dayton, passed away on January 09, 2021, in Baytown Texas at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.

Elizabeth was born February 2, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, to parents; Vyrle “Penny” and Hazel Simms Welch, a former resident of Chicago, and has resided in Dayton for the past 34 years.  She was a graduate of Lakeview High School and retired from AKZO NOBEL.  Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family. When she was able to travel she would always love going back home to Chicago to visit family and friends. She loved to watch the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Cubs. She grew up a block away from Wrigley Field in Chicago. She loved to go watch Musicals at the Hobby Center. Her favorite was Jersey Boys. She loved listening to old records and singing.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents Vyrle Welch and Hazel Simms, son:  Brett Schiska, grandparents:  Herbert Simms, Elizabeth Simms and Ruth Smith Welch and John Harley Welch, brother:  James Welch, and uncle:  Herbie Simms.  She is survived by her husband:  Harvey Wells, daughters:  Beth Musch and husband Bob, Terry Schiska, and Marti Peden and husband Alex, sons:  Scott Wells and wife Lisa, Tracy Wells and wife Amber, and Harvey Wells, Jr. and wife Robin, brother:  Charles Welch, stepsisters:  Shirley, Roberta, and Arlene, grandchildren:  Kali Schiska, Anthony Dake, Ashley Dake, Matthew Musch, Kimmy Musch, Savanna Wells, Bryce Wells, Caden Wells, Eric Wells, Cameron Wells, Bree Wells, Dylan Banda, Scotty Wells, Tommy Wells, and Maudie Wells, greatgrandchildren:  Gunner Jett, Elora Schiska-O’Connell, and Gabriela Banda, numerous other relatives, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.
