Elizabeth (Betty) Quebedeaux, 83, passed away on March 7, 2022, in Baytown.  Betty was born in Norfolk, Virginia on February 28, 1939, to parents Louise Williamson Perkins and Page Driskill.  She grew up in Port Arthur, Texas where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School and received her cosmetology license.  She owned several hair salons including PhD in Pasadena and the Houston area.  She became a cosmetology instructor and was the Department Chair of the San Jacinto Main Campus Cosmetology Department where she encouraged many of her students and colleagues in the field. 

She married, Ronnie Quebedeaux, the love of her life in 1975.  They moved to Timber Cove, in Taylor Lake Village.  It is one of the original neighborhoods for NASA astronauts.  She was involved in the Timber Cove Garden Club for many years.  She was always a crafter and later learned to paint.  She spent many hours creating art and cooking which she loved to share with others.  She and Ronnie spent 46 happy years together.  They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and several countries with Ron’s work and visiting family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Bill Perkins, her biological father Page Driskill, sister Peggy Knoke and her beloved son Robert F. Beemer, Jr.  She is survived by her husband Ronnie, sister Shirley (Dinky) Perkins of Beaumont, sister and brother-in-law Ann and Glenn Reilly of Baytown, brother-in-law Gayle Quebedeaux of Poway, California, nephews Drew Reilly of Houston and Taylor Reilly of Austin, and niece Denise Olson of Cheyenne Wyoming.   She is also survived by brother-in-law Bernie Knoke, nephew Page Knoke, nieces Darlene Scarborough and Brenda Smithson all of Virginia, as well as numerous other family members and friends.    

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crespo Jirrels Funeral Home.  A Rosary followed by a funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 9 beginning at 11:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18223 Point Lookout Dr., Houston, Texas 77058.  A committal service will be held April 11 at 1:00 pm at the Rio Frio Cemetery in Rio Frio, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Houston Area Parkinson Society (HAPS), 2700 Southwest Fwy #298, Houston, Texas 77098 or a charity of your choice.
