Edna Gonzalez Garcia, 80, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020, at her residence.
Edna was born May 10, 1940 in Coahuila, Mexico, to parents; Carlos Gonzalez and Eva Trevino, and has resided in the Baytown area for the past 71 years. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, a homemaker, former teacher’s aid from San Jacinto Elementary under GCCISD, and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Edna loved cooking, having family gatherings, and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren..
Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her father: Carlos Gonzalez, mother: Eva Trevino Chason, stepfather: Delmar Chason, and husband: Robert Garcia, Sr. She is survived by her sons: Roland Garcia and wife Robin and Robert Garcia, Jr. and wife Sandra, brother: Oscar Trevino and wife Mary, grandchildren: Hali Garcia, Tori Garcia, Reagan Garcia, Britney Trousdale, Chad Trousdale, Brad Trousdale, Leah Trousdale, and Tony Williams, seven great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild on the way, numerous other relatives, and friends.
The Garcia family would like to express their gratitude to Cinthia Hernandez for her care of Edna, during her illness.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with rosary services at 6 p.m., Monday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Baytown with entombment following at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
