Dixie R. “Granny” Davis Wright, 73, of Beach City, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in Houston.
Dixie was born March 20, 1947 in Houston, to parents; Floyd “Cigar” and Elouise Montgomery Davis, a former resident of Mt. Belvieu, and has resided in Beach City for the past 33 years. She was a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School and a retired deli manager for Weingarten’s. Granny also enjoyed dancing and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Victor and Vernis Davis, sister: Sue Davis, and grandchildren: Levi Stewart and Devon Davis. She is survived by her husband of 44 years: K.D. Wright, sons: Rowdy Wright, Troy Wright and wife Ann, Richard Davis, and Chad Wright, daughters: Holly Shirley and husband Brett and Kim Wagner and husband Bobby, daughter-in-law: Cheryl Wright, brother: Benny Davis,, sister: Debbie Davis, grandchildren: Stefan Wright and fiance' Rachael, Duane Wright, Christian Wright, Ashley Wright, Brittany Bebee and husband Cory, Nicholas Wright, Raya Wright, Hannah Wright, Grasshopper Wright, Chloe Wright, Colin Wright, Haley Wagner, Zachary Wagner, Piper Wright, and Jackson Shirley, great-granddaughter: Caroline Bebee, special nieces: Beverly, Mary, and Peggy, Robbie, Lyndi, Cindy, Denise, Pieper, and Whitney, her loving nephews, other relatives, and friends.
