Dave "Tony" Anthony Stopyak

Dave “Tony” Anthony Stopyak, 62, of Dayton, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side in Houston, Texas. He was born February 12, 1958 to parents Joseph Stopyak and Carrie Dourghty in Chicago.

Tony was a down to earth guy. He enjoyed the simple things of life like barbecuing with family, and boy was his brisket to die for! He found time to go fishing in the bay with his favorite brother-in-law, even if it was crazy for them to go out it in a John boat! Tony cherished dancing with the love of his life, Tammy, and visiting her aunt and uncle in Indiana. They played dominoes and the guys would compete to see who could slam them the loudest. Those memories are what is left for us to hold on to, but we know that Tony isn't really gone, he’s still here with us in our hearts.

Tony is preceded by his parents, and brother, Ted Stopyak.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammy Stopyak, Brothers, Tommy Stopyak and wife, Debra, Bobby Stopyak and wife, Veronica, and Joe Stopyak and wife, Linda; sisters, Judy Fultz, Sherry Stopyak, and Sue Stopyak; nephew, Joie Stopyak; Brother in law, Les Lazrine, Larry Lazrine, and Jamie Lazrine ; Aunt and Uncle, Julie and Mike Parton, Aunt, Connie Shelabarger; and fur baby, Boudreaux.

The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Nelta Lazrine for all the love and support she’s given during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 5-7PM. followed by Funeral Services, at 7 PM at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home with Mr. Dave McLennan, of Old River Assembly, officiating.
