Daniel Paul Burris

Daniel Paul Burris peacefully slipped from this life into eternity on the morning of May 11th, 2019 after a month-long struggle at Bayshore Medical Hospital in Pasadena, Texas.

Daniel was born on April 6th, 1971 in Baytown, Texas. He was happy to live out his life in Baytown, where he attended grade school, played sports and graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1989. Following high school he attended UTI. Daniel married his high school sweetheart and was blessed with the birth of his daughter Miranda in 1994. Daniel enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and the outdoors and he was constantly surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed working with his hands and predominately worked as an electrician, most recently creating an electrical contracting partnership with his dad, Kent Burris. Daniel’s love and devotion to his daughter Miranda and trust in God was notable to all who knew him. His wit, charm, “dancing skills” and love he felt for all his family and friends will be greatly missed.

Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents; Lloyd and Aleta Burris, Fred Stephens and Louise (Lottie) Bishop, his brother, Nathan Burris and his niece, Danielle Burris.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Miranda Burris Woodruff and her husband Connor. Parents, Kent Burris and Marie Stephens; Siblings, Anita Bishop, Brent Burris and Delia Honovich; Nieces and Nephews, Reggie Bishop, Dixie King, Austin and Robin Barth, Lauren Honovich, Nickolas Burris; Great-Niece and Nephew, Caleb Otts and Aria Barth; Last but not forgotten, Puppy.

Friends and family are invited to join us in remembering and celebrating Daniel’s life Saturday May 18th, 2019 at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521. Viewing will be at 2:00pm with a service following at 3:00pm.
