Curtis Vernie Reed, 72, of Baytown, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020, in Baytown.
Curtis was born April 22, 1948 in Memphis, Tennessee, to parents; Luther William and Annie Louise Wheeler Reed, a former resident of West Memphis, Arkansas, and has resided in Baytown for the past 48 years. He was a graduate of Parkin High School, serviced in the US Army during Vietnam, and was a retired operator lab technician from Lyondell Bassell. Curtis also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents and brother: William Monroe “Bo” Reed. He is survived by his wife: Donna Jean Sproessig Reed, sons: Luther Vernie “Luke” Reed and wife Tonia and William Wayne “Billy” Reed and wife Nicole, brother: Jerry Wayne Reed and wife Gail, grandchildren: Curtis William Reed, Austin Luke Reed, Kendal Wayne Reed, Brandon Curtis Reed, and Katelyn Eileen Reed, great-grandson: Bryson Luke Reed, nephew: David Wayne Reed, niece: Christina Louise Reed, numerous other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel in Baytown with services concluding thereafter.
