Craig Allen “Craigger” Strange, 39, of Baytown, passed away, Sunday, September 6, 2020, in Jefferson County.
Craig was born June 29, 1981 in Baytown, to parents; James Strange and Lesley Kelly, and a lifelong resident of the Baytown area. He was a graduate of the Barbers Hill High School class of 1999, attended both Lee College and Stephen F. Austin, veteran of the US Air Force, currently employed by FireX as a salesman, and a member of Faith Family. Craig also enjoyed hunting, coaching softball, making furniture, and his sports teams; LSU, the Cowboys, and the Astros.
Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his grandparents: Edd and Flonie Strange and Billy Glynn Kelly, uncle: Douglas Strange, and great-grandparents: Stella and Albert Weihrich. He is survived by his daughters: Makayla and Teygan Strange, father: James Strange and wife Elba Pagan, mother: Lesley Kelly West and husband Willie, sister: Ashley Mettlach and husband Will, grandmother: Pam Kelly, half-sisters: Elisha Dahrens, Brittany Adkins, and Chelsea Riley, stepsister: Aimee Flores and husband Pablo, stepbrother: Jonathan West and wife Brooke, nephews: Liam and Owen Mettlach, numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2020, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Craig Strange Memorial Scholarship Fund, at Barbers Hill Bank, P.O. Box 2155, Mont Belvieu TX 77580, in Craig's name.
