Connie Petty Gibbs, 87, of Crosby, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, at her residence.
Connie was born December 22, 1930 in Houston, to parents; Tom and Agnes Wisnowski Petty. She was a member of several social clubs in Houston. Connie was a talented entrepreneur who owned several businesses. She showed and was a breeder of Grand Champion Show Dogs and owned a private Charter Bus company. She had excellent written and verbal skills and ran the Congressional Campaign Committee for Senator Lloyd Benson. Connie had a penchant for raising any and all animals and a passion for playing bingo and the slot machines.
Mrs. Gibbs was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Gibbs, sons: Eddie and West Gibbs, and daughter: Donna Terry. She is survived by her grandchildren: Kellie Miller and companion Mark Johnson, Scott Gibbs, Amanda Gibbs Miller, Gregg Garcia and wife Beth great-grandchildren: Breanna Bishop and husband Chad, Baelynn Fenton, Makailey and Greggory Garcia, Scotty Gibbs, Mac and Mason Johnson, daughter-in-law: Marvy Gibbs and companion Craig Faciane, cousins: Taft and Ginger Merka, Marilyn Jackson, and Frank Lomica, numerous other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., with memorial services at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.
