Clarence “Bruce” Broussard, 90, of Baytown, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the Rollingbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Baytown.
Bruce was born October 17, 1928 in Lacassine, Louisiana, to parents; Clements and Lydia Hoffpaur Broussard, a former resident of Rayne, Louisiana, and has resided in Baytown for the past 50 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, a retired operator from J.M. Huber, a former member of Trinity Tabernacle, and was current member of the First Baptist Church of Pasadena. He also enjoyed photography and collecting coins and knives.
Mr. Broussard was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Ruth DuBose and Mildred Pelly, and brother: Calvin Broussard. He is survived by his wife: Faye Greer Broussard, stepchildren: Toni Owens and husband Jim, David Blackwell and wife Erleen, and Dawain Blackwell and wife Janet, sisters: Jeanne Seaton and husband Jim and Anita Fristo and husband Wayne, brother: Norris Broussard and wife Sara, step grandchildren: Brandon Owens, Nicholas Owens, Kimberly Zao and husband Stefan, and Derek Blackwell and wife Taylor, great step grandchild: Conner Blackwell, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with reception following services at the funeral home.
