Christopher Louis Hughes, 60, of Baytown, died on June 26, 2017.  He was born September 2, 1956, in Austin, Texas to Louis and Edwina Hughes. Chris was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Lee College, where he earned two Associate of Arts degrees in applied sciences.  He was self-employed and owned Christopher’s Printing Shop.

Christopher treasured people and had many friends that loved him.  He enjoyed hunting and had several trophies.  His love for lasers led him to perform shows that entertained and gave joy to others.

Christopher is survived by his parents, Louis and Edwina Hughes; sisters, Anne Tarski and Julie Bailey; and brother, Tim Hughes.  He also survived by nieces, Elizabeth Tarski McArthur, Alexandra Tarski Wegrzyn, Caroline Tarski Lauber, Margaret Tarski, and Sarah Bailey; and nephews, Grady and Garrett Bailey.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. in the Chapel Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, with Reverend Edmund Eduarte officiating.  Burial will follow at Sterling White Cemetery in Highlands.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Paul Tarski, Larry Bailey, Steve Haynes, Frank Lundy, Kim Krizak and Dr. Paul Melancon.
