Christopher Gene Hopkins (65), born December 31, 1957 passed away on March 5th. Chris was also known by his stage name Chris Cloud. He was an artist as well as a self-taught talented musician and singer. He played lead and bass guitars, piano, organ, drums, flute and harmonica. He used oil paints, cut paper, colored pencils and anything else he could get his hands on to create his very own unique brand of art. He was also a filmmaker as well as a great songwriter.
He is survived by his parents, John & Priscilla Hopkins of Baytown. He has a younger brother, Jay Hopkins in Missouri and a younger brother, Robby Hopkins of Baytown who passed away in 2018. He leaves behind a daughter, Heather Smith of Austin and three granddaughters: Hayley Smith (24), Hannah Smith (22) and Holly Smith (16).
He was a wonderful son, brother, father and grandfather and will be missed.
