Charles M. “Marc” Helvie, 71, of Baytown, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, in Houston.

Marc was born April 24, 1946 in Claremore, Oklahoma, to parents; Russell E. and Viva L. Hargrove Helvie.  He was a graduate of Nederland High School, attended Tyler Junior College and Lamar, and was a real estate appraiser by trade.  Marc was also a member of the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.

Mr. Helvie was preceded in death by his parents and wife:  Sharon “Sherrie” Helvie.  He is survived by his daughter:  Amy H. Nunn, son:  Joseph “Joe” Helvie, brother:  David Helvie and wife Jan, grandchildren:  Sharon M. Nunn, Marcus Helvie, and Dakota Helvie, nephews:  Michael Helvie and wife Hannah and Ray Helvie and wife Jamie, nieces:  Michele Porter and husband Matt and Erin Mundy and husband David, 18 great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, at the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church with services concluding thereafter.
