Cecil Guidry, Jr., 75, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
Cecil was born November 15, 1942 in Baytown, to parents; Theobert Cecil Guidry, Sr. and Frances Merchant Guidry, and has resided in Baytown throughout his life. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, received his associates degree from Lee College, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a retired safety coordinator from Exxon after 32 years of employment. He also enjoyed wood working, playing golf, mechanics, gardening, RC planes, and playing ping pong.
Mr. Guidry was preceded in death by his father: Theobert Cecil Guidry, Sr. and mother: Frances Merchant Savage. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Diane Lester Guidry, daughter: Kim Trchalek and husband Daryl, son: T. C. “Trey” Guidry, III, sisters: Rita Hillburn and Marie Guidry, grandchildren: Megan and Tristan Guidry, Collin, Kaden, and Camron Trchalek, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
