Bryan Strange

October 8, 1970 ~ May 31, 2020 (age 49) 49 Years Old

Tribute

Bryan Allen Strange, 49, of Baytown, peacefully left this earth while surrounded by his loving family. Bryan was born in Liberty, Texas on October 8, 1970.

Bryan’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family, and take his boys hunting. It brought him so much joy to teach them how to hunt.  Some of their most fond family memories were made in deer stands, on the Frio River and as well as at Artesian Lakes. He especially loved when his granddaughter Leah would visit, and he always made sure she had her play-dough. He was often described by his friends as a “gentle giant”. Bryan was a jokester at heart and like to pick and tease those that he loved. It was commonly said that if he wasn’t picking on you, he didn’t like you. Bryan was funny, witty, and always snappy with his responses. Just being around him made you smile.  Along with baseball, he played high school football and was a great athlete in his time. One thing that will be sure be missed about Bryan is his dressing on Thanksgiving, which he made every year.  His most favorite dessert to indulge in was his mother-in-law’s homemade banana pudding.

Bryan was preceded in death by his biological father, Allen Wayne Strange; and daughter, Hannah De Los Reyes.

He is survived by his wife, Cory Strange; sons, Cameron Preston Strange, Chance Allen Strange, and Jacob Marshall Strange; granddaughter, Leah Marie Strange; parents, Danita and Daryl Strange; brother, Terry Wayne Strange and wife, Andie; niece, Addyson Strange; nephew, and Hunter Strange; Mother-in-law, Shelia Chance and husband, Clifton Sherrod; Father-in-law, Ernest Chance and wife, Gayla; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will welcome friends for memorial service to celebrate Bryan’s life at Old River Baptist Church, on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 2 PM. Pastor Wes Hinote will be officiating.
