Bobby Lynn Welborn

Bobby Lynn Welborn, 82, of Highlands, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at his residence.

Bobby was born December 10, 1935 in Mansfield, Louisiana, to parents; LeRoy and Lizzie Welborn, a former resident of Illinois and Galena Park, and a resident of Highlands for the past 60 years.  He was a graduate and drum major of the Galena Park High School class of 1957, a veteran of the US Navy, a retired machinist from BJ Hughes, a former employee of TDCJ, and attended Family Faith Church.  He was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, and making canes.

Mr. Welborn was preceded in death by his parents, brothers:  Raymond and Billy Welborn, and brothers-in-law:  William and John Henderson.  He is survived by his wife:  Buna Faye Henderson Welborn, children:  Debbie Ryan and husband Michael, Ricky Welborn and wife Tracey, Penny York, Jackie Hodges and husband Bubba, and Marsha Gottlieb and husband Randy, brother:  Cecil Welborn, brothers-in-law:  Jack and Frank Henderson, sister-in-law:  Dovie Sorenson, grandchildren:  Shawn Lyrock and wife Rachel, Crystal Fontenot, Michael Ryan, Jr., Maddison Kolb and husband Cahill, Mehrisa Welborn, Amber Allee and husband Nick, Mason Zuleger, Clinton Welborn and wife Miranda, Cortney Ford-White and husband Ricky, Daniel York, Shalena Hodges, Austin Hodges, Heidi Bouvet, Jason Gottlieb, Jamie Johnson, Craig Parking, Hannah Schulken, Randall Gottlieb, 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment with military honors at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
