Betty Jo Collins

Betty Jo Hollingsworth Collins, 83, of Baytown, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Baytown.

Betty was born June 14, 1940 in Corsicana, to parents; J.O. and Hazel Bell Perry Hollingsworth, was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and part of the Brigadiers.  She was employed by the Brunson Theater and Citizens Saving and Loan, prior to her employment by GDS Engineers and her retirement.  Betty also enjoyed  reading, gardening, and cooking; which most recall her coconut pies and banana pudding.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her parents and husband:  Kyle Collins.  She is survived by her sons:  David Brock and wife Sharon and Steve Brock and wife Kathy, sister:  Debra Frazier and husband Curtis, brothers:  J.O. Hollingsworth, Jr. and wife Pam and Eddie Hollingsworth, grandchildren:  Joshua Brock and wife Brandi, Lyndsey Hartrick and husband Chris, and Jacob Brock and wife Stephanie, great-grandchildren:  Tyler Brock, Payton Brock, Hudson Hartrick, and Spencer Hartrick, members of the Joe McCune Family, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Memory Gardens Cemetery Pavilion in Baytown.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the staff and nurses at St. James House, for the care given to Betty.
