Benjamin Ray Davis (Benny) passed away on November 19th, 2021. His life will be celebrated with a viewing at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home located at 6123 Garth Rd. Baytown, Tx on November 24th from 9:00am to 11:00am. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am.
Benny Davis of Old River-Winfree Tx, went home to be with beautiful PJ. He was born in New Boston, Tx on December 22nd, 1941 to Floyd Ford Davis and Edythe Eloise Montgomery. He graduated from Pasadena High School and spent his career in the Refinery Industry, where he met the love of his life Patsy (PJ) Davis), as a Crane Operator and Superintendent.
He was an extremely generous and loving man who never met a stranger, nor ever let anyone go hungry. His passions included fishing, grandkids, cooking, and laughter. He retired from Brown and Root after 35 years of service. After which he spent the remainder of his days traveling and living with family. To all who knew him, he was known as Dad, Uncle Benny, or Pawpaw.
He is proceeded in death by his father Floyd Ford Davis, his mother Edythe Eloise Montgomery, his wife PJ, his brothers Victor and Vernice Davis, His sister Sue Davis, and his sister Dixie Wright. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Debbie Davis, daughters Lyndy and husband Ricky Ohm. Robbie Lee and her husband Troy. Cindy Hiller. Jody Rena and her wife Yvonne. Shayne Benitez and late husband Abel. His sons Chuck Deville and his wife Caroline. Chris Shortt and his wife Kim.
His grandchildren Ryan, Esra, Logan, Halle, Benjamin, Jaxon, Kyle, Savannah, Caleb, Ashley, Rick, Casey, Chuck, Cody, Keagan, Roman, Baleigh, Dustin, Colin, Arianna, Jayden, Sky, Izel, Danny, and Katelyn. His numerous great grandchildren that he loved tremendously.
The family would like to give a special mention to all his many nieces and nephews he loved so much including Vernon Davis, Rowdy Wright, and Jon Kirby.
