Aubrey "Wayne" Bird

Aubrey “Wayne” Bird, 63, of Crosby, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in Baytown.

Wayne was born March 6, 1956 in Baytown, to parents; Aubrey Lee and Delilah Bates Bird, and a lifelong resident of the Crosby area.  He was a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School, retired operator for NRG, and former Deputy Chief, Station Captain, and EMT for Highlands Volunteer Fire Department.  Aubrey also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Mr. Bird was preceded in death by his father:  Aubrey Lee Bird.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years:  Cherry Tillman Bird, sons:  Jason Bird and wife Jamie and Derrick Bird and wife Nikki, mother:  Delilah Bates Bird, brother:  Gary Bird and wife Stacey, sister:  Gayle Bird, grandchildren:  Logan Herman, Katie Bird, and Michalynn Herman, numerous other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 13, 2020, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.
