Amy Ruth Lord

Amy Ruth Copeland Lord, 78, of Mont Belvieu, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022.

Amy was born September 3, 1943 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, to parents Walter G. and Mary Browne Copeland.  A former resident of Zwolle, Louisiana, she has resided in the Mont Belvieu area for the past ten years.  She was a graduate of Oak Grove High School in Converse, LA, received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University, and was an educator for 25 years.  Amy was a member of Old River Baptist Church and assisted her husband with many projects, including managing Lost River RV Park.  She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and painting.

Mrs. Lord was preceded in death by her parents and her sister,  Judy Copeland.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years:  Eric Lord, her daughters:  Melia Jacques and Angela Baggett and husband Tim, son:  Jared Lord and wife Melissa, sister:  Grace Litton, brother:  Walter Grover Copeland, Jr., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Amy’s memory.
