Alvin Thornburg Jr

Alvin Thornburg, Jr., 67, of Baytown, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, in Baytown.

Alvin was born July 24, 1953 in Natchez, Mississippi, to parents; Alvin, Sr. and Dorothy Ruth Dixon Thornburg, and has resided in Baytown for the past 42 years.  He was a graduate of North Natchez High School, a retired operator from Albemarle Chemical, and veteran of the US Army.  Alvin also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and will be remembered for his sense of humor.

Mr. Thornburg was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years:  Sharon Knight Thornburg, siblings:  Dorothy Jane Thornburg, Carolyn Thornburg, Don Allen Thornburg and Patricia, Mamie Smith and Robert, Sr., and Ronnie Edward Thornburg and Christina, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter.
