Alexander Reyes Entienza (otherwise known as Sandy), 70, of Baytown, was granted his angel wings on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Baytown, Texas.

Sandy was born on April 24, 1950, in Manila, Philippines, to Arsenio and Leticia (Reyes) Entienza.

He attended Trinity College in Quezon City, Philippines.  Sandy continued his education at the University of Santo Thomas and National University in Manila Philippines, earning a bachelor’s degree in architecture.

After working as an architecture in Saudi Arabia for some time, Sandy followed his childhood sweetheart across the globe to Houston, Texas and married Nila Zalamea.   Sandy and Nila then established their roots in Baytown, Texas where he worked as a wholesaler and she as a registered nurse.   Always by each other’s side, they grew and happily raised their family.

He enjoyed traveling in particularly cruising, taking walks with his wife, designing, cooking meals for everyone and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Entienza was preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his wife of 39 years:  Nila Zalamea Entienza; 2 daughters and their spouses:   Kimberly and Brandon Klaus, Keleigh and Tim Dao; 6 grandchildren:  Katelyn, Olivia and Emma Klaus, and Connor, Cooper and Cannon Dao; sisters:  Nona Mapili, Grace Entienza and Susan Entienza; brothers:  Arthur Entienza and Ricky Entienza; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

You were called from above too soon.  But we know that God only takes the best.   We will forever love, adore and remember you.   We hold you close within us every single day.  We stand taller and stronger knowing that you are now watching over us – always believing.

Because of today’s climate, the Entienza family will hold a very private, family only viewing.   Furthermore, to adhere to Sandy’s wishes, no public service will be held.  The viewing will be held at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas on Friday, January 22, 2021.
