Ollie Zerline Leatherwood went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.  She was born on May 17, 1922 in Daisetta, TX to Jefferson and Hester Stovall.  Zerline contributed during WWII by working at the Humble Rubber Plant.  Later she would assist her Husband, Joe in a full-service gas station business.  She also supported her husband with Shriner activities; worked with charities, and she was a hospital volunteer for 40 years. She was a member of Eastern Star and a Beauseant.  Zerline was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Baytown for over 80 years. She loved to cook with Joe for family gatherings.  Zerline loved babysitting her grandchildren, playing bingo and especially 42.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, George Jefferson and Laura Hester Pelt Stovall; her husband of 73 years, Joseph Richard Wildon Leatherwood; 2 daughters, Laura Kathryn and Jolene Leatherwood; a brother, Nelson Stovall; and a sister, Lucretia Donnelly.

She is survived by her children, Jennie Lou Leatherwood Rankin and husband Larry, and James Nelson Leatherwood and wife Linda; grandchildren, Laura Lindsey Rankin, Jay Byron Rankin and wife Crystal, Clay Wildon Leatherwood, and Makenna Jean Leatherwood; a great grandchild, Zeke Rankin; a brother-in-law, Ellis Coleman Leatherwood, Jr; 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

The family will receive Friends on Friday, February 17 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapel at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at Crespo & Jirrels at 10:00am on Saturday, February 18, 2017.  Interment will follow immediately at Guedry Cemetery, 11713 Batson Prairie Rd., Batson, TX 77519
