Mary Elizabeth Pollock, 76, of Dayton, passed away at her home on July 9, 2017, with her loving family at her side.  She was born on July 31, 1940, in Lucasville, Ohio, to Roscoe Burton and Hazel Scott Burton.

Mrs. Pollock is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Hazel Burton; daughter, Theresa Lynn Fertig; and brothers, William Burton, Phillip Burton and Jack Burton.  She is survived by her loving husband of forty-one years, Raymond N. Pollock, Jr.; son, James H Fertig III; daughter, Tanya G. Colley; sons, Robert M, Fertig and wife, Rhoda, Ricky A. Fertig, Marc A. Pollock and Brian K. Pollock; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Strickland and Betty Strickland; uncle, Wilber Scott; and many other friends and family members.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown 77521.

Serving the family as honorary pallbearers will be James Fertig, Robert Fertig, Rickey Colley, Michael Herman, Brandon Fertig and Logan Herman.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Pollock’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org .
