Lorine S. Franta Trahan, 92, of Baytown, passed away Monday, September 18, 2017, in Houston. Lorine was born June 26, 1925 in Crosby to parents, Charlie J., Sr. and Sidonia M. Marek Franta, and was a lifelong resident of the Baytown area. She was a graduate and Valedictorian of Cedar Bayou High School, a homemaker, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, and especially, working in her yard.

Mrs. Trahan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Numa Joseph Trahan, Jr.; sisters, Lucille Jackson, Lula Mae Leonard, Lillian Smith, and Linda Kuch; brother, Larry Franta; granddaughter, Martinique Jade Daenzer; and special cousin, Lorine Wiley. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Little and husband, Luke, Denise Daenzer, and Lisa Crone and husband, Brad; sister, Laverne Trahan; brothers, Charlie Franta, Jr. and wife, Bettie, Lonnie Franta and wife, Sue, and Lee Franta and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Carol Franta; grandchildren, Paul Little, Matthew Daenzer, Christina Johnson, and Ryan Crone; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Daenzer-Stogner, Keira Daenzer, Jace Daenzer, and Hennessey Johnson; special cousin, Frankie Brewer; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels, with Reverend Edmund Eduarte officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
