Jeremiah T. “Maya” Batongmalaki, 12, of Baytown, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017, in Houston. Maya was born January 17, 2005, in Baytown, to Emerilie Villegas Batongmalaki and Jacob Sullivan and has resided in Baytown throughout his life. He was a student of Baytown Junior High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed swimming, video games, You Tube, and especially playing with his dogs.
Jeremiah is survived by his mother, Emerilie Batongmalaki and her husband, Enrique Granados, of Baytown; father, Jacob Sullivan of Houston; brother, Enrique Granados, Jr.; sister, Olivia Faith Pritchett; grandparents, Ernesto Batongmalaki of Baytown, Mercedita Batongmalaki of Baytown, Alice Granados of Houston, Trinidad Granados of Houston, and Lisa Forney of Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary service at 7 p.m., on Friday, September 15, 2017, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1907 Caroline St., Baytown. Burial will follow at Sterling-White Cemetery in Highlands.
