Hubert Alexander, Sr., 76, of Baytown, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, at his residence.

Hubert was born September 24, 1941 in Trinidad, to parents; Samuel Alexander and Agnes Ramtahal, a former resident of St. Croix, and has resided in Baytown since 1986.  He was a tankerman for Petroleum Services and attended Calvary Temple Church.  He also enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and gardening.

Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents, daughter:  Agnes Grace Alexander, sister:  Shirley Alexander, and brothers:  Ken Collins and Franklin Collins.  He is survived by his significant other:  Violet Newton Benjamin, children:  Rety Alexander, Ashley “Buck” Alexander and wife Denise, Hubert Alexander, Jr., and Khanasha Benjamin, step-children: Beverly Reed, Anthony Dawson, Elveston Benjamin, Sharon Newton, Sophia Benjamin and Kishma Benjamin, brothers:  Boysie Alexander, Frank Collins, and Frances Collins, sisters:  Merle Collins, Gemma Collins, and Marva Collins, grandchildren:  Ashley Alexander, Sanya Alexander, Kayla Alexander, Alexis Alexander, Daisa alexander, Jerry Alexander, and Violet Benjamin, great-grandchild:  Devan Holloway, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown.
