Donna was born April 11, 1932, in Hockley County in West Texas to Ellis and Odell Bradley. Her family eventually moved to the Corpus Christi area. She met Robert Hughes Bonner at Del Mar Junior College, and they married in 1951. Donna and Bob raised a family, and while living in Temple, Texas, Donna had the opportunity to return to college. She graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1975 with a teaching degree in home economics and early childhood. In 1998 Donna married Gary Garner of Baytown and enjoyed a wonderful life with him full of traveling, shopping, theater outings, family gatherings, and church events. She was artistic and employed creative skills as an expert seamstress, exceptional cook, and choral singer. Among the many things she enjoyed, she created personalized scrapbooks for her grandchildren, leaving a gift of legacy for them to honor their family history.
