Davis Lee Riche, 82, of Baytown, TX died peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at The Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Baytown.  He was born on October 26, 1934 to Martin and Oleta Riche in Avoyelles Parish, LA; he spent his childhood in Plaucheville, LA. 

After following his best friend Clyde to Houston for work, Davis was drafted and joined the Army.  Davis returned to Houston at the end of his service where he met his wife Barbara.  On December 10, 2016, they celebrated 55 years of marriage.  They called Baytown their home for over 40 years where they raised their two sons.

Davis worked for Sullair for 31 years as an Industrial Mechanic until he retired in 2001. His work with Sullair afforded him to travel all over the United States. Davis could fix anything and loved to use his hands. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, working outside, and piddling around the house. He also enjoyed going to gun shows on the weekends. He always wore a Saint Christopher around his neck.

Davis is preceded in death by a sister, Betty; and a brother, Clarence.

Davis is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; two sons, Darrel Riche, and David Riche, and wife Sally; a granddaughter, Gianna. He was loved and will be missed.

The family will receive Friends on Friday February 10th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Chapel at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel at Crespo & Jirrels at 10:30am on Saturday, February 11, 2017.  Interment will follow immediately at Sterling White Cemetery, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, TX 77562.

Honorary casket bearers are Phil Sadler, Joshua Thurman, Randy Ely, Jimmy Blow, Bob Delagarza, and Roy Chaney.
