Andrew Scott Porter

Andrew Porter was born on September 3, 1962, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, to Arthur Bernard Porter and Mildred Jean Hurlburt. He passed away on May 3, 2019, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Donna Marie Hechler Porter, and sons, Hayden Andrew Porter and Holden Scott Porter, sister Nancy Jean Porter and brother Steven Thomas Porter, both of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. He grew up in Yarmouth and came to Texas to work at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Later, he joined Texas Orthopedic Hospital as a registered nurse in the operating room. In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Andrew will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his passion for American politics, and his love of Astros baseball.
